Random Post

This post is really quite random. It all boils down to procrastination to start the day's work on the big D I guess.

Random One

Been 'hibernating' in the IRC for days now, at almost the same spot, doing almost the same thing.

Being in the IRC gives you a first hand feel of two things:

First, you feel the pressure of the deadline looming in the near distance cuz the IRC's kinda full of fellow Building Year 4s. A scenario described by dear Friend A (identity kept secret) sums it up perfectly: Friend A met Person B at the photocopying machine of the IRC. Obviously, small talk was made (out of courtesy) about the big D.

A: "What are you zapping?"

B: "I'm zapping some conclusions from past year dissertations for
reference."

A: "..."

If you don't get it, you're obviously not a typical Building Year 4 student.

Yeah, no wonder people are getting D blues.

Second, you begin to wonder how the air conditioning is being allocated in SDE cuz the recent circular that "for the sake of energy conservation, all temperatures would be kept at 25 degrees celsius" doesn't seem to apply to the IRC. Lecture halls are way too warm and the IRC is like the Artic.

Random Two

News update: movie ticket prices at my fave cineplex (i.e. Cathay) is going up this Thursday:

sigh.

I'm intending to boycott the cinemas on weekends.

CNY is around the corner. Well, it's next week, to be exact. Mum says I can invite my friends over on the 8th of Feb for dinner buffet, which starts at 6pm. Unfortunately, the food's not halal. But all are welcomed. RSVP by sms-ing my HP yeah?

I've re-discovered the stress-relieving benefits of Mahjong.

Followed by Texas Holdem, Blackjack, Bridge and Dai Dee.

Bunch of gamblers indeed.
