Looks pretty ordinary, but it's so good.
...such that I'm all smiles. =p
Started hiking/training at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve in prep for the upcoming Mount K trip 2 in June:

Sports mates in DLS - Dragonboat, Running, Bowling and now hiking. =p :
That's me and my DB partner/running mate/team mate.
Trip off Singapore shores, to a nearby island called Ubin. Kinda brings back many nostalgic memories.
There were many many people headed there on this public holiday, such that the queue for the bumboats led straight up the stairs, into the streets.

First visit to Chek Jawa, thanks to ZY's info that that day has the lowest tide of the year:
Love the biking around Ubin - gives me an adrenaline rush and plenty of exercise for my quads:

Didn't have much luck with the bikes though - changed a total of 3 bikes in one day. Bike no.1 had an eccentric gear system which left me with a sore ankle and grease-stained hands from having to fix back the disengaged gear chain before I could coax the bike back to the shop to exchange it for bike no.2. Bike no. 2 was great - fantastic gear system and suspension, but got stolen after lunch, hence bike no. 3 came into the picture.
Visited quarries all over Ubin to admire the blue waters surrounded by the natural landscape:
That's me, on bike no. 3, which wasn't as good as bike no. 2, but served me well:
Day 2 of the long weekend began with self-made breakfast, using whatever I could find in my fridge:
Basically, breakfast consisted of a two-eggs omelette made up of cubed potatoes, coarse black pepper, Italian seasoning, Basil, Tabasco sauce and cheese:
...and 4 pieces of waffles:
...which wouldn't be complete without self-mixed ice-cream (strawberry, vanilla, chocolate ice-cream mixed with oats and 2 shots of caramel and mint baileys):
Add in a glass of milk and voila! Breakfast:
Ok. That's it for updates for now. Got to work on some unfinished tabulations.
josh, signin off.
