0510hours:
The mobile phone alarm rings.
I sleep on, unbothered.

0530hours:
The mobile phone rings.
I jerk awake.
Confused.
Took a second to orientate myself and promptly groaned.
Mumbled a sleepy "good morning" as I picked up the phone.

0532hours:
I finally drag myself out of bed and into the bathroom to wash up and change into my running gear.

0540hours:
Hurriedly grab a few essentials and head out of the house.
Nearly forgot the race pack!

0542hours:
Unlock car door, dump waist pouch in the backseat, step on brake pedal/start engine/fasten safety belt/change gear/release hand brake.
Car screeches out of car park.

0547hours:
Pick up YH and speed on to Pasir Ris.

0605hours:
Reach Pasir Ris.
Thought of driving to race venue, but realised it's too ulu-ated.
Parked and proceeded to take shuttle bus to race venue.

0630-0745hours:
Reach race venue.
Red Bull.
Meet up with fellow company runners.
Bag deposit.
Stretching.

0745-0935hours:
Run.
Drip.
Squint.
Squint somemore.
Perpetual squint.
100plus.
More 100plus.
...
...
...
Slow-mo run along the beach.
Think of Hari Raya visiting.
Run faster.
Spot finishing line.
Attempt to sprint.
Stumble through finishing 'gate'.
Grabbed 100plus.
Head for shelter.

0935-1100hours:
Stone.
100plus.
Goodie bag.
