42.195km Standard Chartered Marathon/ Christmas Wishlist

Morning of full marathon no. 2/ 1st Stan Chart Marathon (which I joined for the Finishers' T-shirt) started at 3plus am. Was pretty nervous - colleague's influence. Didn't have much of an appetite, but forced a slice of bread and muesli bar down my throat for energy. Parked at Parliament House - Cheap and convenient.

Took a gamble and wore a pair of newly bought running shoes. First part of the run was comfortable, but gradually, the feet ached pretty badly until they refused to run anymore, from 35km onwards. Practically walked the last 7km and chiong the last stretch of .195km. Hmm.. Was too ambitious and fell sorely short of the target I set. My other 2 team mates did very well though. One managed to beat her personal best - 4hr 30mins is no joke! The other did well to complete near 5hr 30mins in her 1st full marathon run. Ah well. At least I managed to improve from Sundown =) Next aim? Adidas Sundown 2010!
